  1. Two you didn’t mention. North Carolina has a Travel L campground at Emerald Isle and we also stayed in a campground on the beach in Siesta Key Florida.

  2. Two of the sites listed in Virginia Beach are not ON the beach – they are a good bicycle ride or drive (10 mins) to the beach. Nice sites, but not beach sites. (Trav-L Park and KOA). There are two in the OuterBanks in NC that are worth mentioning as well.

  3. Ocarcoke Island National Seashore and North Carolina’s Outer Banks National Seashore have campgrounds offering some of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in the world. There are also some beautiful beachfront campgrounds in the Grand Strand region of South Carolina.
