Want to Make Soft Campbread for Breakfast?

Fresh bread is something that everyone loves. With this easy recipe, now you can make yum and tender Campbread right at your campground! The hearthside bread recipe provided here is that of the Indian bread but fulltime RVers have diverse varieties of such campfire bread.

In fact, according to Derek & Maggie Bullock,

“Baking bread in the wilderness is about taking the comforts of home with you and enjoying yourself, not choking down some freeze-dried Hungarian goulash that tastes like wallpaper paste”.

 

Camping Bread RecipeIngredients needed:

Whole Wheat Flour: Half Cup
Whole Purpose Flour: Half Cup 
Baking Powder: 2 Teaspoons 
Garlic Salt: 1 Teaspoon 
Parsley: 2 Teaspoon
Olive Oil: 2 Tablespoons

  1. Guys, this is not Indian Fry bread, as stated in the video. It is a variation of Flatbread, similar to a Bannock. It does NOT look like the photo that accompanies the article that said, it’s a nice, basic recipe that works well in a campfire setting. Use Spain salt instead of garlic salt, omit the parsley, use corn oil instead of olive oil, and you can make a more authentic Indian Flatbread. Serve with honey and cinnamon or fold(or cut) it in half and add your sandwich fillings of choice.
